Busted Umbrella Base Reborn!

by | Aug 21, 2019 | General, Wood

Here is the new umbrella base that replaces the broken patio umbrella base. I took a few elements from the concept, changed them up a little and made a new base. I decided the regular plywood wouldn’t be good outside for very long. So I used pressure treated 2″ x 6″ lumber and it worked great! I used pressure treated because it is heavy all by itself. Mounting the salvaged flange from the old base makes for a secure mount for the new base. Come back and I will let you know how it holds up. Since I was able to roll tools and tables out of the Project Cave and into the driveway, the project was easy. To watch, click here!
